アメリカ、デンバー出身のギタリスト Barry Wedgle。スティーブレイシーや日本人ベーシスト杉山茂生と共演歴があり、「Capri Records」からもリーダー作を残している。クラシック〜フラメンコ、バップ路線のクリエイティブさも兼ね備えた卓越したテクニックの持ち主。

本作は彼のデビュー作1982年盤。「ALL-OUT」で有名なヴォーカリスト JAY CLAYTONやオレゴンのCollin WalcottとPaul McCandlessも参加している。

幻想的なコーラスから始まり、ECM風のアコギによる複雑な和音が印象的なA2。A3は一転してビッグバンドのような分厚いアレンジ。そしてA4はクールなモードジャズ風。

B面は民族音楽風の曲調が多く、もろラルフタウナーやジスモンチを思わせるアコギやオレゴン風のタブラ等のパーカッションがエキゾチックな雰囲気を醸し出している。いい感じのエスニック・ジャズだ。

ジャケ違いでCDもあるようだ。
